Hello, friends.  I must have missed you coming in.  Welcome.

As the more perceptive of you have probably already realized by now, this is a research blog.  Nothing fancy or official.  This is a place for musing, digressing and some occasional probosculating.  The words “wall” and “stick” seem appropriate here.  Officially my loyalty lies with Film/Media Studies, but you should probably expect to see regular appearances by any peripheral interests that happen to have my attention (music, art, history, etc).  I imagine that some of these posts will eventually find their way into more developed projects, but for the time being they offer a space for me to carry out my life’s ambition: look around and check stuff out.
